The Rotary club of Worcester in 1937 created a social club for working men who had retired, A club house was built on Cripplegate park and this pavillion was officially opened in that year by the Lord Lieutenant of Worcestershire. The idea was for the retired to meet in the club for tea and biscuits, play cards, Dominoes and maintain a comrade atmosphere.
Now a few years later about 1962 a bowls club was formed and Ladies were accepted into the club. The club joined the Consortium Cripplegate Bowlers in 2004. and desolved 2010 |
